Hosts decide whether you need your own toilet on board. This is mainly the case when there is no toilet on site. In the listing, a symbol shows whether the pitch is only for self-sufficient vehicles or whether a toilet is open around the clock.
Don't worry if your vehicle isn't self-sufficient: more than half of our hosts offer toilets. Pitches only for self-sufficient vehicles are usually remote spots in nature or car parks close to town centres.
No. Searching a vehicle for a toilet would not be permitted. We count on personal responsibility and respect. If someone behaves badly, the host can issue a yellow card and we ask both sides for a statement. If it happens again, we block the number plate so it can no longer be used to check in.
By self-sufficient we mean basic sanitary facilities for up to 48 hours, not the power supply.
