Spoon Farm

We offer 3 Spaces which are easily accessible from a quiet village road at the head of Algodres. The site is flat and well kept, on the edge of the village but not far from civilisation. While there are no facilities on site you will find yourself less than 200m away from the village bar which serves food and drink as well as selling some of the amazing cheeses and meats from local producers. They open early and close late and can provide for most needs, including toilets. The parkup is also directly adjacent to the Rota dos Miradouros walking route, an 8km walk that takes in the historic villages of Algodres, Rancosinho and Furtado. This takes in Neolithic sites, charming working farms and, in Algodres, offers unparalleled views of the breathtaking Serra de Estrella mountain range from its several Mirador lookout points. In this village you will also find fonts which provide cool, fresh spring water so be sure to bring a water bottle or two to fill up for your walk.
